Comparing AUX, LG, Daikin and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
The same figures side by side, so you can see where the brands really differ.
We install four brands. They overlap a lot, but differ on three points that genuinely matter: efficiency, warranty and purchase price. Below they are side by side, with the same figures as on the product pages themselves.

SEER and SCOP are the lowest and highest value across every version we supply of that brand; the bar belongs to the highest. The energy labels are calculated from those values using the EU thresholds, so they belong to the most efficient version of the brand and not to every version.
Which brand suits you?
The best value for money of the three: from € 1,249 fully installed, with the same R32 refrigerant and the same inverter technology as the pricier brands, and energy label A++ for cooling.
Two years of manufacturer warranty instead of five. At the top the other brands reach A+++ for cooling and heating, where AUX stays at A++ and A+.
Efficient and smart: SEER up to 9.5, air purification with Ionizer+ and control through the ThinQ app.
The AI Air Special and Premium only exist as 2.5 and 3.5 kW, so not for large rooms.
The widest range, with the finest capacity steps and two design models.
Usually the highest purchase price of the four.
The highest efficiency of the four, with a SEER up to 10.3. The ZSX top model uses a sensor to detect whether anyone is in the room and adjusts accordingly.
The five years cover parts, not labour after the first year; with LG and Daikin it is full manufacturer warranty. And we supply the ZT in matte black only.
Frequently asked questions about choosing
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries reaches the highest efficiency in our range, with a SEER up to 10.3 on the ZSX and an energy label up to A+++. LG sits just below that with a SEER up to 9.5, Daikin follows with 8.75, and AUX is the least efficient of the four at 7.6, which is exactly why it is the cheapest to buy. Whether that difference pays back depends on how many hours a year you use the unit; for a bedroom that only cools in summer, the purchase price weighs more heavily than the efficiency.
The ZS is the familiar Premium series: compact, whisper-quiet from 19 dB(A) and available in white, black and titanium. The ZT comes from that same segment and we supply it in matte black only; it keeps heating down to -20 °C instead of -15 °C and holds its full heating capacity down to -10 °C. The ZR is meant for large open spaces and runs from 6.3 to 10.0 kW, with a wider casing and a more powerful airflow. The ZSX is the top model from the Diamond series, with the highest efficiency of anything we supply and a presence sensor that detects whether anyone is in the room.
For most homes, yes. An AUX runs on the same R32 refrigerant and the same inverter technology as the other brands, and reaches energy label A++ for cooling. The difference is at the top of the efficiency range and in the warranty term: two years of manufacturer warranty against five for the other three. That is why we call AUX the best value for money of the four, and not simply the cheapest.
LG and Daikin give five years of manufacturer warranty and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gives five years of parts warranty; AUX gives two years. On top of that we give two years of warranty on the installation itself, whatever the brand. The manufacturer warranty requires the unit to be serviced yearly by a qualified installer.
Above 7.1 kW, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is the only option: the ZR series runs from 6.3 to 10.0 kW and is meant for large open spaces, shops and business premises. Below that, Daikin has the finest capacity steps, from 2.0 to 7.1 kW, so there is almost always a version that fits exactly. AUX and LG go up to 7.0 kW. Note with LG: the AI Air Special and Premium only exist as 2.5 and 3.5 kW, so for a large living room that leaves Standard Plus and Deluxe.
For AUX we have fixed from-prices per model, starting at € 1,249 including VAT and installation. For the other three brands the price depends more on the model and the installation situation, and we would rather not put a figure on the site that turns out not to apply in your case. You receive a quote with a fixed price within 24 hours.
